Ta-dah! Sophie's Universe!
It's been nearly 18 weeks now since I started on the Sophie's Universe CAL, and I cannot believe how much I've learned in that time. Sophie has made me a much better and more confident crocheter - what a girl!
Before we get to the photos, a HUGE thank you to the incredible Dedri Uys from www.lookatwhatimade.net, the designer of this stunning project.
Now, isn't she beautiful?
I love your colours! That's the best looking Sophie I've seen yet! Well done, Michelle!

ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon! The pattern will still be online for a while, until Dedri decides what to do with it :)

DeleteAmazing work. How did you stay motivated after so many weeks? I love your colours and thank you for taking close-up photos of the special details and their stitches. I am not surprised that there is a lot of learning for anyone tackling that Sophie's Universe. I just love it.
ReplyDeleteI think the motivation partly stemmed from the building excitement over the week about what was going to happen next! Plus it is just a fantastically written pattern - clear text, easy picture tutorials when required, and lots of links to tutorials for special stitches :) I've also really enjoyed sharing it with all of you!
DeleteGorgeous Sophie! Isn't it lovely when you finish her? :) xx
ReplyDeleteSo satisfying!! xx
DeleteHi love your sophie I am thinking of doing one myself. I was wondering what yarn you used?
ReplyDeleteThanks
Hi Anne! I used Stylecraft Special DK - you can see the exact colours in my Ravelry project page here: http://www.ravelry.com/projects/machiashelli/sophies-universe-cal :)
DeleteThat's for your quick reply Michelle.
DeleteGreetings from Australia
Anne
